Cameroon Elections: Rev Bertin Kisob, when madmen take up arms...

The recent attack on the Wouri bridge in Cameroon's economic capital, Douala, has left many wondering where the country is headed. How can an armed group hold up the single most important road in the country in broad daylight and the armed forces have no clue who they are, where they came from and where they are presently hiding.

But thanks to a sketchy and very childishly constructed blog,  we have come to learn that a certain so called Mr "rev" Bertin Kisob may have some knowledge of the perpetrators of the armed attack in Douala. Democracy is a godsend, but by all means, unmetered armed struggle by a delusional individual is a danger to the whole nation. Mr Kisob who styles himself as the Cameroonian version of US president Barack Obama obviously has some serious personality issues.

The attack on the Wouri bridge which occured on Thursday, the 29th of September 2011 failed yet again to stir the population of the restive city into action. Acts aimed at destabilizing the country through popular revolt have failed in recent years. An armed struggle will not help anyone, and may even give more reason for Mr Biya to legitimize his dictatorship.

His amateurish online manifesto reads more like a rant and he comes across as someone who is intolerant and believes Cameroon may become a modern day utopia where he will reign supreme. The security services better get their act together and stop this lunatic before someone gets hurt.
